Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia

In August 2017, we were excited to have

Ms. Andrea Pell begin hosting her own

Ballet Conservatory at Buford School of Ballet!

Andrea Pell is a native of New York and received her professional training in New York City under Thalia Mara and The American Ballet Theatre School, and in Budapest, Hungary at The Hungarian National Ballet Institute. In 1975 she joined The Berlin Ballet in Germany and worked with major dancers during her fifteen-year tenure with the company. In 1990, Ms. Pell was invited by Atlanta Ballet’s Artistic Director of thirty-two years, Mr. Robert Barnett, to oversee The Atlanta School of Ballet and Atlanta Ballet II. She was Artistic Director of the school until 1997 and spent one additional year overseeing Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education’s Buckhead satellite school.

Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia trains serious young dancers aspiring for a professional career in ballet. An extensive daytime schedule includes ballet technique, pointe, repertoire, stretch and strengthening, dance history, music appreciation and lectures. Under the guidance of Andrea Pell young dancers are trained in a nurturing environment as they prepare to enter the diverse and demanding dance world of today. Ms. Pell has been a ballet teacher for twenty-six years in the United States and abroad and believes in sharing her lifelong passion for ballet through excellence in teaching and individual attention on each unique dancer.
